Hey! Justin Christiansen here, the co-founder and president of Conversion Fanatics. And today, I wanted to talk about “what is the best converting shopify theme.”
Well, a few weeks ago, I spoke at an event of about 120 or so people, and a lot of Shopify merchants were in the audience.
And after my presentation I got asked a ton of questions about what is the best converting Shopify theme. It kind of took me aback that somebody would go out there and look for the “Holy Grail,” the magic button, the magic pill, and that magic converting theme that’s going to fix all of their problems.
And my answer is typically this: there isn’t one.
You can read all you want and see all of the marketing that other people create with those amazing themes, and, in fact, each theme is different for each business.
So what I typically recommend is just start with a very basic theme that gives you all of the key elements and kind of a clean slate to then go out and optimize for your own audience.
There isn’t some one-size-fits-all magic solution that’s going to dramatically jump up your conversion rates and make everything that much better. You need to go with what works for you.
And in a lot of cases, all this tells you is to go with the basic Shopify theme to start that’s right out of the box. It’s free, it’s very clean, and it’s very simple. And then you can adapt and test your way into what works and what converts better for you, your audience, your product, and your business.
It doesn’t matter if somebody’s selling almost the same exact product as you. They have many different variables that you don’t see on the surface. So stop chasing and looking for some magic pill or solution in a Shopify theme that’s going to magically fix all of your conversion problems.
Test and optimize your way to better conversions for what works for you and you alone.
So hopefully you enjoyed this tip. If you did and think other people could benefit from it, be sure to give us a share and leave us a comment and like us, and we’ll talk to you again soon.
